Sunday after church I had six girls come over for the afternoon. They helped me color and decorate shoes for our decorations for the M/D Brunch. They had a great time creating!! I think they had more fun trying on all the shoes that we have collected. The cutest pair were turquoise four inch spikes. They went well with "M's" blue painted toenails!! 
We got our first batch of raspberry plants. I am trading plants for piano lessons. I will get more from another family. These plants bear fruit in August and keep going until a hard frost. That means we will have berries this summer. Yeah!! I can fill my freezer full to overflowing, I hope!
This is the finished garden plot. I hope we didn't "bite off more than we can chew." The strip in back of the garden shed is for raspberries. I just wanted one swipe of the tiller, but I guess I have plenty of growing space. I'm still trying to get the swing of things so my pictures are kind of funny. Oh well!!
Alisa is home again after her second surgery in 2 1/2 weeks. As a mother and grandmother, I feel so blessed to see how God has cared for and protected my daughter and granddaughter. God has used so many friends and family members to minister to the whole family. What a great God we have! My mind can hardly comprehend the knowledge that these doctors and nurses have. 
, the President's wife from Maranatha. She was delightful, challenging and convicting. Another blessing was seeing some ladies from Monroe, WI where Dwight served as interim pastor for a year. I got a picture of Amber and her mom, Lisa. I missed getting a picture of one other gal, Libby, but I got hugs from all of them.
This was our fourth year at the Missions Conference in Woodville, WI. It was one year ago that we had our first contact with Hillsdale. Two couples came last year to the conference to "check us out." God has led our steps in a wonderful way. We met some new friends, Brad and Joann Hoff. Yes, they are related to the Hoffs in our church. The neat thing is that they know people all over the U.S. that we know so we didn't seem like strangers at all. I have to add that Joann reminds me of my good friend Jill Carron. They could be sisters!! Once again se fellowshipped with our good friend, Wally Olson. We came away from the weekend refreshed and the folks in Hillsdale missed us. That was a blessing 
March 15 will be a date to remember for our family. That was Alisa's first surgery. The peace of God was evident especially on that day. The verses and songs that ministered to our hearts during those hours are so precious. One of the special times was when Ted talked to his whole family and then led in prayer commiting Alisa to God's care. I trust the testimony of Kari and Ted will cause many in our families to think seriously about spiritual things. 
I was able to host "The Babies Shower" at our home. One of the mommies is a member of our church and the other mommy is a long time friend of our church ladies. Kari helped via long distance with the Raggedy Ann/ Raggedy Andy decorations. She even sent me the dolls that Aunt Gail made for her kids so I could use them. I had forgotten how fast the US mail can be (sometimes).
