The beans and tomatoes are finally taking off. I was out today knocking the weeds down. They grow faster than anything. As I watch my garden grow, I am wondering if I am growing in my Christian walk so that people can notice the changes and growth in my life. II Peter 3:18 says "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever."
"Over the river and through the woods to Grampy and Grammy's house we go..." Come visit with us!

As I am growing older, the garden is growing too.

Happy Anniversary to Us!!
We made a quick trip to Rockford and called it our Anniversary Trip. While we were there, my beloved surprised me with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. It is hard to believe 42 years have flown by. The Lord has been so good to us and we again claim those verses in Psalm 37:3-5.

Cheryl's Flowers
The garden is growing but . . . .
I will have to replant some of the beans that have been eaten off. I don't know if the tomatoes will sprout new leaves or not. I have cans and pies plates clanging in the breeze and a friend told me to grate Irish Spring soap and put it around the plants. I guess bunnies don't like that.
Sunday School Picnic
The annual Sunday School Picnic was today after the morning service. We went to a neat park about 15 miles away in Prairie Farm, the first settlement in Barron County, population 508. The kids had a blast catching frogs and tadpoles and minnows. The white bucket is the temporary home of the frogs. I guess the frogs and minnows already had names and the moms had to make sure they got home with the owners. There was the threat of rain all afternoon, but it never came. PTL.

A busy week of VBS 2010 - SeaQuest
I have failed to take my camera with me to VBS. By the time I get my Bible lesson, the continued missionary story and all the props and object lesson things - balloon, eggs, salt, $10 bills, play money, gold nuggets(carmels), silver nuggets (chocolate mints), salt water taffy, beach ball, etc, oh, and of course my BIBLE. the camera is forgotten. I am teaching the 4-6th grades. They are a great age and I"m having a great time. We have had about 75 kids on our highest day. We are thankful our little neighbor boys have come as well as the grandchildren of the folks across the street. The highlight of today was watching the kids launch water balloons at Pastor"T" sitting in a chair out in the field. He really did look like a"sitting duck". I guess they never did get a direct hit - just alot of splash. We will have a closing program on Friday night and hopefully some parents will come for that. These kids are hearing the clear plan of salvation over and over. Praise the Lord!! One day left so I better take my camera to prove that we had VBS this year.
