Another Year of King's Kids Ends

April 22 was the last Sunday for our King's Kids program.  We have a good group of children for a church our size.  It was a real belssing to hear them quote the verses they have learned.  As I was listening, I was thinking of the many children that have memorized many verses and then left them all behind when they become adults.  I trust there are many of our children that have hidden these verses in their hearts and not just memorized words.

Alex was really serious about fiinishing his books  by the number of patches on his sash. Jason is giving him his plaque that he earned.

"Study to shew theyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing theWord of Truth." II Timothy 2:15

Some Things Never Change

The weather is changing and changing and changing and things are growing and changing but some things don't change - for instance, the bridge going into Duluth.  We decided to take a drive about a week ago and go to our favorite place for supper.

But first we had to check out the spring run of the Lester River. It was awesome!  I told Dwight not to fall in because there would be nothing I could do to catch him. Ha! ha!!

Then we went to a  place we found last year that has been featured on Triple D (that is Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives on the Food Network).  It was very much worth the 2 hour drive.  We didn't even have room for the outstanding banana crean pie.

HE IS RISEN, INDEED!!

We had wonderful Resurrection Sunday Services starting with a well attended  breakfast.  A 12 piece orchestra played during the morning service.  It was a great blessing to hear the improvement even since Christmas.

  This past Sunday we had a missionary to Ireland share her burden for that field.  She will be working with a veteran missionary family that has a church started.  It was again refreshing to hear how God leads and directs in the life of a young person totally surrendered to  His Will.

Then this morning  . . .  we woke up to Winter again.  It has been in the 30's all day long.  I know the calendar says differently.  My perrenials are bravely showing through the snow.  Hopefully by tomorrow all  snow will be gone.
