" . . . And the walls came tumbling down."

These pictures are for the grandkids.  The neighbor had a fire and the house was condemned. It came down on Wednesday morning.  A new house will be built this summer. Now we can see the church on the corner and the highway.

New Church Dedication

We drove over to Woodville  after church Sunday morning for the 2:00 pm dedication service.   It was not snowing when we started, but by the time we got to Woodville, the roads were snow packed and not good at all.  But, we were so glad to be able to see the new building all completed and feel the excitement of the church people.

Dennis and Debbie were  so excited.  The service was a blessing and the music touched the heart.  Their choir sang "Bow the Knee".  Dwight and I couldn't help but sing (softly) along.  We sang that with the choir at Berean.  What a blessing to see how the Lord has used Dennis!  He was in the tenth grade when we first met him.  God is Good!

Does Debbie look happy, or what???
We didn't stay for the official tour of the building or the fellowship time after.  The snow was piling up.  On the way home we saw 10 - 15 cars in the ditch.  We got home in time to cancel the services for the evening. We got so much snow that we had to cancel our business meeting for Monday because everyone was not plowed out yet.  Praise the Lord that spring is eventually coming.

Valentine Sweethearts

Our three valentines dressed for the day and the girls helped their brother with some face paint(?) makeup that didn't come off too easily.
Hugs and kisses were freely given in honor of the Red Heart Day.

We were happy to see special friends who came to hear Dwight preach on Sunday.

Saturdays are for Basketball

We were at the right place at the right time to enjoy our grandson's basketball game. He looks realllllllly excited, doesn't he?

It was a neat thing to see the referee kneel and pray with the second graders before they started their game.  This is "in training" bball and was  so much fun to watch.  Some of the players were more interested in their hot wheels than in the basketball.

a Stitch in Time

I pulled out the antiquated sewing machine and did a little "Grammy sewing."

I found a pattern "online" for an American Girl doll.  It had been quite a few years since I sewed doll clothes.  When I was teaching, I never had the patience to do that kind of a project.  The  granddaughters liked the result.  I will take orders from the other granddaughters for their dolls.
