I can't believe that after all these years I actually have a dark purple clematis that is BLOOMING. I have always admired the beautiful clematis' that were blooming every summer when we would come to the cabin.
Now we are in the north country and I have my own. God is so good, all the time.
I have a purple clematis that looks about like yours. My plan is to plant a lighter one or a pink one to grow up with it. I saw that on a garden tour and it was BEAUTIFUL! My understanding is that the big beautiful plants take YEARS to get like that. Do you have the time to wait? I guess gardeners have to be patient!
