A Visit From the Grandkids - oops their parents, too!

It was great to have a visit from Kari and Ted.  They were able to be here over the weekend, so our Sunday services grew by five.  We still had the Christmas tree up to continue our  holiday celebrations.

Ashlynn was showing me her new baby doll.  It sounds  JUST LIKE a newborn and cries tears.

The favorite pasttime of the kids was sledding.  The Michigan cousins had made a nice snow cave in a hill made by  the snow plow.  The hill in the backyard was perfect for a fast ride.  The only bad thing was the climb back up.

One adventure was to a farm.  The first time we went, we got to watch them milking.  Then when we were told that twins were expected that same day, well, everyone was ready to go back out as soon as the call came.  The call came the next morning at 7am.  We were all  kind of sleepy, but the cold and the aroma of the barn quickly woke everyone up.  The second calf wasn't born until 10 am, but we all kept toasty warm with the other 36 cows.

Here is the calf just a few minutes after she was born.  Her mama is cleaning her off and trying to keep her warm.  Farmer T finally had to put her in the warming bin with her twin brother.  What a great experience!!
