You have noticed that I have not blogged for a month now. That is because I am out in the garden picking beans, picking cukes, more beans, more cukes, making pickles, making dill beans, canning beans. There are NO pictures taken of GG when she is working. My dear husband just looks at me and smiles a little or laughs outloud. He is probably thinking "Is this what I signed up for 43 years ago?"
Now I can hear my Canada sister and her husband holding their sides with laughter. I have been the object of such laughter through the years. I don't even wear my garden hat anymore because of the laughter it produced. I do have to say the garden has done VERY WELL this year. The tomatoes are beginning to ripen, and I have made the first installment of salsa. I had juice running down my arms and dripping on the floor. Oh the mess I can make. But--- seeing all the jars on the shelves in the basement, makes it all worth it. I am so excited that I can share with my children and friends.
