Why Oh, Why ????

I have been sitting at the computer for the better part of the afternoon typing the Christmas program for church.  Some of the script I was creating as I was typing along and parts I had already written down and was copying.  Part way through the phone rang that needed the attention of pastor, so I saved what I had done and ran outside to find the "lawnmower guy."  I continued when I came in and then proof read the entire program.     AND THEN ------ poof it all went away.  I don't know what key I touched but it was gone.  Then when I tried to go into the file, the computer said it was CORRUPTED.  How could it be corrupt???? I was doing the Christmas story.  I'm sure the devil must have some demons inside my computer!!!
To make a sad, long story short my dear husband couldn't retreive it, my daughter and son-in-law had no magic answers ------so back to the keypad I will go.
