"A Patchwork of Love"

We had a Quilting theme for our Mother Daughter Brunch this year.
This beautiful quilt was a gift for Elton and Mabel's 50th Anniversary.  It was made by her sister.

I was surprised that so many of our ladies had handmade quilts.  It was interesting to hear the history behind many of the quilts.  Many were made by great grandmothers.

We had some Quilting Trivia questions and gave away quite a few unique prizes.  Of course, there were no wrong answers.  If you were brave enough to answer, you got a prize.

We had our Brunch first, then a program and speaker in the auditorium and then back for soome dessert.  The balls of different colored ice cream and sherbet were arranged in "Grandma's Flower Garden" quilt patterm.  We have some serious quilting fans among our ladies.

Each table was set by a differnt lady.  This table was set by a farming family.  Could you guess???  The favors are bags of "gummy" eggs.

Some took the opportunity to use special china.

My sister-in-law and neice and her daughter were able to come.  It was fun to have them sit at my table along with a new lady  and our speaker.

The teen gals  went for the bold brights and giant flowers.   There was a total of 54  ladies and girls.  It was a wonderful time of fun and fellowship around God's Word.  All the hard work was well worth it.  My prayer is that  God was  glorified .
