Bus Zone - VBS 2012

We had a GREAT week of VBS, despite the fact that we had no power on Thursday due to an early morning storm.  Our high attendance was 74 with 20+ teachers and helpers.  The final total for our missionary offering was over $1,000 after the Friday night program.  Praise the Lord!!

The stage was equipped with a giant ant hill, a cave with a giant spider web over the opening and real trees.

In my 1st -3rd Grade class, we grew our own insects in the "pond."  They grew to 500% of the original size.

Eduardo, the Exterminator Extraordinaire', was able to eradicate a giant beetle from the premises.  He cautiously approached several huge insect eggs.  The kids loved it when he smashed the eggs and green stuff came flying out. (pistachio pudding).
The most exciting thing for me was the little boy who was willing to give up his playtime the first day and accepted Christ as his Savior.  That's what it is all about.  I remember well the many verses I memorized as a child at VBS.  They have helped me and comforted me many times during the years.  The hard work is well worth it.

  1. Amen! The hard work is certainly worth it but I have to say that I was thankful that VBS wasn't 2 weeks long!
