| As I returned from exercise class last week, I found Dwight standing in the middle of the kitchen with a pile of broken dishes at his feet. I didn't break out in uncontrolable tears. My first thought was, "There has to be a life lesson here." I soon found out that a small plastic peg that held up the shelf had given way and the crash came. I looked at the broken pieces of my Nortake china,, and I thanked the Lord for the many times I was able to feed my family and guests from these beautiful dishes. They were all wedding and shower gifts. I wonder how many times they were washed and dried in 47 years. |
